The KL IB landscape
Kuala Lumpur's IB Diploma cluster grew rapidly over the past decade. ISKL is the long-established anchor running both AP and IB. Mont'Kiara International School has emerged as a major IB destination. Nexus International School and Garden International School offer credible IB pathways. Cohort sizes are smaller than Singapore but academic outcomes are competitive.

What didn't make the list
Several KL schools offer the IB Diploma but with cohort averages below 32 or insufficient outcomes data. Several newer entrants (Alice Smith International, ELC International) offer A-Level rather than IB at sixth-form.
IB vs. British in KL
KL's premium British schools (Marlborough, Garden, Alice Smith) deliver strong A-Level alongside or instead of IB. For globally mobile families IB tends to travel better; for British-heritage families A-Level remains compelling. See our IB vs. British curriculum guide.
