The Bangkok school landscape
Bangkok is the most attractive Asian capital for families on a moderate education budget. Premium British schools (Patana, Shrewsbury, Harrow) sit at $20K to $25K per year, but the city also has a deep mid-tier of $8K to $14K schools with strong academic outcomes. Indian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French and German curriculum schools are all well-established.
Thailand requires every international school to be accredited by ONESQA and either CIS, NEASC, WASC, or BSO. Around 60% of Bangkok international schools also hold Council of International Schools (CIS) accreditation, the global gold standard.
