The Delhi NCR IB landscape

New Delhi and surrounding Noida/Gurugram (collectively NCR) host one of South Asia's stronger IB markets, particularly given the diplomatic and development sector concentration. American Embassy School (AES) runs IB Diploma alongside AP. Pathways World School is IB Continuum. Step by Step Noida and Vasant Valley School deliver IB Diploma. Cohort sizes are smaller than Mumbai's premium schools but academic outcomes are competitive.

What didn't make the list

Several Delhi schools offer IB Diploma but with cohort averages below 32 or insufficient outcomes data. Lancers International and Heritage Xperiential offer credible IB pathways but have not yet built three-year track records sufficient for ranking.

British School New Delhi (BSND). the IGCSE/A-Level alternative

BSND remains primarily IGCSE/A-Level. For British-curriculum families committed to British qualifications rather than IB, BSND is the natural premium choice. Worth noting that A-Level cohort outcomes at BSND are strong, with regular destinations to Russell Group and top US universities.

IB vs. ICSE/CBSE in New Delhi

For globally mobile families, IB Diploma travels considerably better than Indian curricula. For families committed to Indian universities, ICSE/CBSE remains the dominant route. Premium ICSE schools (Modern, DPS RK Puram, Sanskriti) deliver strong outcomes at fees a fraction of IB schools. see our New Delhi fee report.

Fee context

Premium IB places at AES or Pathways New Delhi cost INR 12-15 lakhs per year (USD 14,500-18,000). Plus development fees of INR 4-10 lakhs one-time. See our full New Delhi school fees report.
