Day-of-week boarding
Most UK boarding schools offer full boarding (weekends included), weekly boarding (home for weekends), and flexi boarding (some nights only). International students typically full-board. Fees post-VAT
Post-2025 VAT inclusion, premium UK boarding sits at GBP 50,000 to 65,000 per year all-in. Some schools have absorbed part of the VAT; others have passed it through fully. Verify each school's current fee.
Admissions timing
Most top boarding schools require Year 7 (11+), Year 9 (13+) or Year 12 (Sixth Form) entry. Pre-tests for 13+ entry happen at age 11. Apply 24 months ahead for the most selective schools.
