Copenhagen International School (CIS)

The largest international school in the Nordics. Roughly 800 students from age 3 to 18. Full IB continuum (PYP, MYP, Diploma). Diploma averages 33-35.

British International School of Stockholm

Established British-curriculum school in Stockholm. IGCSE and A-Level. Strong UK university destinations.

Oslo International School (OIS)

IB World School with full continuum. Smaller than CIS, with stronger community feel. Diploma averages 33-36.

International School of Helsinki

IB Diploma. Smaller cohorts than the other three Nordic schools. Strong outcomes.

Fees

All four schools sit at USD 22,000 to 30,000 per year for senior years. Helsinki is the cheapest of the four. Copenhagen the most expensive.

Choice factors

Cohort size matters more than fee differences. CIS has the deepest subject choice at upper sixth form. The smaller schools (Helsinki, Oslo) offer closer attention but thinner Higher Level subject combinations.
