The International School of Beijing has restructured its high school support into separate teams, one for social, emotional and academic counselling and one dedicated to career and university advising. That separation, with university advisers focused solely on applications, is exactly what families looking for serious university preparation want. Canadian International School of Beijing
The Canadian International School of Beijing runs a dedicated university counselling function, and the school reports that while a majority of its graduates head to North American universities, alumni can be found across more than 100 universities and colleges around the world. That breadth of destinations is a useful signal of a counselling team experienced beyond a single country's system.
Dulwich College Beijing
Dulwich College Beijing pairs its IB Diploma, and from 2025 an A-levels pathway, with university guidance for students applying to universities worldwide. The dual qualification offer means counsellors support both IB and A-level applicants, which helps families weighing UK, US and other systems. Western Academy of Beijing
Western Academy of Beijing, a large IB World School, runs the IB Diploma in the senior years with university counselling to match. Its scale supports a broad Diploma subject choice and an experienced counselling team, useful for students with ambitious or unusual university plans.

We included Beijing schools that publish a dedicated university counselling or advising function and run a recognised leaving qualification, rather than schools that mention careers support in passing. We did not rank or rate them. Strong university preparation is about fit between your child's target countries, their qualification and the counselling team's experience, so ask each school about counsellor caseloads, recent destinations and how it supports applications to the systems you care about.
