Who is accountable

GlobalSchoolGuide is published by a named, contactable team, not an anonymous brand. Editorial is led by co-founders Morten Andersen and Fredrik Filipsson, both former international-school students and expat parents. Every article carries a byline that links back to who stands behind it. Meet the team.

How we source and fact-check

  • Primary sources first. Facts, figures and rules are checked against primary sources — official regulator inspections (KHDA, ADEK, BSO, CIS, ISI, ONESQA), school filings, and government databases — not school marketing materials.
  • Fees in bands, not invented precision. Where we can't verify an exact current fee, we publish a defensible band and tell you to confirm with the school, rather than quoting a false precise number.
  • No rating without verified reviews. We do not publish a school rating until we hold verified parent reviews. We would rather say "we don't know yet" than guess.
  • Conservative on YMYL topics. For health, SEN, legal and financial content we keep claims conservative, flag that our guidance is not professional advice, and point to a qualified clinician, lawyer or the relevant authority.

Dates and freshness

Every article shows a published date and, where it differs, a visible "Updated" date. Underlying directory data is refreshed on a quarterly cycle. A date tells you how current the information is; if a page looks stale for a fast-moving topic (fees, admissions deadlines, medication rules), treat it with extra caution and confirm with the school or authority.

Our corrections policy

We correct errors promptly and transparently. When we make a material correction — a fact, figure, rule or anything that could change a parent's decision — we fix the page and update its "Updated" date. We do not quietly delete content to hide a mistake. Significant corrections are noted on the page itself.

No school pays to rank, and no commercial relationship influences our recommendations. Where a guide is sponsored or contains an affiliate link (for relocation services such as banking, insurance or moving — never schools), we label it clearly. More on this in our About page and methodology.
