The nursery and preschool fee range in Doha
Doha international schools usually take children from FS1 or pre-kindergarten (around age three) into FS2 and Reception. Early-years tuition tracks the school's wider tier: roughly USD 4,950 to USD 9,600 at value Indian and Asian-curriculum schools, USD 9,600 to USD 16,500 at the mid tier, USD 16,500 to USD 22,000 upper-mid, and USD 22,000 to USD 30,200 at premium schools including the American School of Doha, Qatar Academy, Doha College and Sherborne Qatar.
Because the vast majority of expat families in Doha have fees met by an employer, the practical question is whether your education allowance covers the early years at all, and at what cap. For the whole-school context see our Doha international school fees guide.

What drives the cost
The biggest driver in Doha is curriculum and medium: premium British, American and IB campuses sit at the top, while Indian, Pakistani and Filipino community schools offer the same early years at a fraction of the fee. The second driver is the employer allowance. when a company funds places, families gravitate to the premium tier, which keeps demand and fees firm there. The third is capacity: Doha has added international-school seats quickly, so early-years availability is generally better than in tighter markets, which moderates fee inflation outside the very top schools.
Hidden costs beyond tuition
Total cost of place adds roughly 12 to 18 per cent. For the early years the main line items are registration and re-registration deposits (QAR 2,000 to 5,000), the school bus (QAR 6,000 to 12,000, material given Doha's distances), uniform (QAR 1,500 to 3,500), and termly building or activity-fund contributions at some schools. Confirm with your employer whether the allowance covers these extras or only headline tuition, and whether it applies from FS1 or only from Reception.
