Curriculum and academics

Chatsworth runs the complete IB continuum. The IB Primary Years Programme covers kindergarten to Year 6, the Middle Years Programme runs Years 7 to 11, and the Diploma Programme covers Years 12 and 13. The school is one of the few in Singapore to run the full MYP eAssessment, the externally moderated route through the Middle Years Programme, which gives older students a recognised qualification before the Diploma.

Students who meet graduation requirements also earn a high school diploma accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, a useful second credential for North American university applications. Chatsworth has been recognised in independent awards for its IB provision, though parents should ask for current Diploma results rather than rely on past recognition. Admissions

The academic year runs from August, with the main intake at the start of the year and rolling entry where places exist. Admission involves an application with school reports, an assessment appropriate to the year group and, for older students, a check that prior study supports the MYP or Diploma.

Entry into the Diploma in Year 12 is the most selective point, since the six subject programme sets expectations on prior attainment and English. Families aiming for the Diploma should apply early and confirm subject availability in advance.

Location and who goes there

The permanent campus is in Bukit Timah, a green and residential part of central Singapore that is popular with expatriate families and well connected to the central districts. The catchment includes the Bukit Timah, Holland Village and Dempsey areas, all within a reasonable commute. Chatsworth draws an internationally mixed cohort attracted by the full IB continuum and the additional WASC diploma.
