How we rank Singapore

Our Singapore ranking weights five factors: academic outcomes (IB Diploma scores, A-Level results, university destinations), CPE inspection ratings, faculty stability, parent satisfaction from our verified review database, and infrastructure including campus quality. We do not weight fees, which we treat separately. Read the Singapore school shortage article for the structural picture before you read the rankings.

What didn't make the top 10

Several schools sit just outside but warrant tour visits depending on circumstances. Dover Court International School (Nord Anglia) for SEN-aware families. EtonHouse International School for families wanting boutique provision. Chatsworth International School for IB at smaller scale. Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) for top-tier Singaporean-curriculum option (admissions are highly selective and expat access limited).

Fees and the planning number

Singapore international school fees crossed SGD 50K (USD 38K) tuition for Tier 1 in 2026, with total annual cost typically 30 to 35% above tuition once capital levies, transport, technology and exam fees are included. The honest planning number for a Tier 1 school in Singapore is SGD 65K to 80K (USD 49K to 60K) per child per year all-in. See our hidden fees article for the full structural picture.

Neighbourhoods that match these schools

  • Holland / Dover: UWCSEA Dover. Cental, expat-friendly, strong condo inventory.
  • Sentosa Cove: Premium housing alongside short commute to UWCSEA and Tanglin via causeway.
  • Woodlands: SAS-tied. Suburban, high North-South Line connectivity.
  • East Coast / Tanjong Katong: CIS Tanjong Katong, AIS, Stamford. Newer expat areas with growing inventory.
  • Bukit Batok / Jurong: Dulwich College, NPS. Western Singapore housing increasingly popular.

Admissions reality

Singapore is the most demanding admissions market we cover. Tier 1 schools (UWCSEA, SAS, Tanglin) routinely have 18 to 24 month waitlists for popular entry points (Reception, Y3, Y7, Y12). Apply 18+ months ahead for these schools. Tier 2 schools (CIS, AIS, NPS) have rolling availability with 6 to 9 months notice typically sufficient. Read our admissions timing guide and waitlist strategies article for the operational playbook.
