The Geneva IB landscape
Geneva hosts perhaps Europe's deepest cluster of IB Diploma schools. The International School of Geneva (Ecolint) operates three campuses, all running IB. College du Leman, GEMS World Academy, IIL Lancy and several smaller schools provide additional options. Cohort averages sit comfortably in the 33-37 range, with the strongest schools above 36 points.

The strongest of the three Ecolint campuses for IB Diploma outcomes. Three-year average above 36 points. Beautiful campus on Lake Geneva. Strong destinations across UK, US, Switzerland and beyond. Premium fees but highest quality across Geneva's IB schools.
International School of Geneva (Ecolint) - La Grande Boissiere
The original Ecolint campus, founded 1924. Both IB Diploma and Swiss Maturite pathways. Strong cohort outcomes. Located in central Geneva. better for families based on the Geneva side of the lake. Strong destinations across global universities.
International School of Geneva (Ecolint) - Campus des Nations
Newer Ecolint campus near the UN. Strong cohort drawn from UN/INGO families. Solid IB outcomes. Smaller scale than the other two Ecolint campuses but well-resourced.
College du Leman
Multi-pathway international school. IB Diploma alongside AP and Swiss Maturite. Boarding option. Strong cohort outcomes, particularly in mathematics. Smaller IB cohort than Ecolint flagships.
Institut International de Lancy (IIL)
Bilingual French-English school with IB Diploma sixth-form. Particularly strong for bilingual francophone families. Strong destinations in France and across Europe.
GEMS World Academy Geneva
Newer IB Continuum school in the GEMS network. Located further from central Geneva (commutable from west Lausanne). Cohort outcomes have improved steadily. Worth considering as lower-fee alternative to Ecolint.
What didn't make the list
Several Geneva schools offer the IB Diploma but with smaller cohorts or insufficient outcomes data. Local Swiss state lycees do not offer IB Diploma but offer the Swiss Maturite, which is highly portable internationally.
IB vs. Swiss Maturite
The Swiss Maturite (Maturite Federale) is a highly respected qualification leading directly to Swiss universities and recognised across Europe. For families committed to longer-term Switzerland residency and Swiss university destinations, the Maturite is the natural choice. For globally mobile families IB Diploma travels more broadly, particularly to non-European destinations.
Fee context
