Overview

The Abu Dhabi school landscape

Abu Dhabi's international school market is one of the most regulated in the world. ADEK inspects every private school annually and ratings range from Weak to Outstanding. School fees are capped: schools cannot increase tuition more than the ADEK-published annual rate without express approval. This protects expat families from sudden fee inflation.

The flagship British schools are Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, Repton Abu Dhabi, British International School, and the Aldar Academies network. Top American schools include ACS Abu Dhabi and the American Community School. Brighton College Abu Dhabi and Cranleigh are the most prestigious British schools in the city.

Comparing Abu Dhabi vs Dubai schools?

Same federation, very different markets. Abu Dhabi is more affordable, less crowded, and has tighter ADEK regulation than KHDA.
