The Mexico City school landscape
The flagship is The American School Foundation (ASF), founded in 1888 and one of the oldest American schools outside the US. Greengates School is the BSO-accredited British IB flagship. Edron Academy serves the Anglo-Mexican community. Lycée Franco-Mexicain (AEFE), Colegio Alemán Alexander von Humboldt and Liceo Mexicano Japonés serve French, German and Japanese communities. Eton School is the heritage Mexican-British bilingual school. Most premium schools sit in Lomas de Chapultepec, Polanco, San Angel and the southern suburbs.
Mexico City offers extraordinary value. Premium IB and AP outcomes at fees that would buy you mid-tier in any major US or European city. Many corporate, banking and diplomatic families relocate here for the school-quality-to-fee ratio.
